"I believe that humanity is at a crossroads and that what women do in the next few decades will determine the fate of life on this beautiful, abundant planet." Jean Shinoda Bolen
Are you experiencing a deep desire to see a more peaceful, just and sane planet? Do you long to make a meaningful difference but unsure how?
You are not alone. There is a stir among wise, conscious women, like you - a longing for profound change. The patriarchial system isn’t working and needs our feminine values and proactive participation.
Women have the opportunity like never before to cause a radical shift in the course of history. Yet we must start by looking within - examining those limiting beliefs that keep us from serving our highest purpose - individually and collectively.
During this inspiring and informative all day conference, you will hear from women who have accepted their role as change agents for the planet. Connect with like-minded women to gain strength, support and encouragement to be the force that we can be. Join the transformational journey towards a more conscious and loving future.
The Women's Symposium brings together both internationally known and local authors and speakers who will educate, inspire and motivate you. At this year's event, you will enjoy:

Jean Shinoda Bolen, M.D., is a psychiatrist, Jungian analyst, and an internationally known author and speaker who draws from spiritual, feminist, Jungian, medical and personal wellsprings of experience. She is a major advocate for a United Nations 5th World Conference on Women, a Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, a former clinical professor of psychiatry at the University of California at San Francisco, and past board member of the Ms. Foundation for Women and the International Transpersonal Association. She was a recipient of the Institute for Health and Healing's "Pioneers in Art, Science, and the Soul of Healing Award" was in two acclaimed documentaries, the Academy-Award winning anti-nuclear proliferation film Women--For America, For the World, and the Canadian Film Board's Goddess Remembered. http://www.jeanshinodabolen.com
"We approach a major fork in the road where Hecate Goddess of the Crossroads and archetype of the midwife, witness, witch and wisewoman is to be found. Will humanity stay on the path of interminable conflicts, overpopulation, global warming, and the possibility of nuclear winter, which leads toward turning our beautiful planet into a wasteland? Or will we take the second path toward an evolutionary change in consciousness that incorporates the nurturing, multi-tasking and multi-perceptive empathic aptitude that are feminine qualities which would make use of women's wisdom, maternal values, spirituality and insights from quantum science? That it is up to women (and exceptional men) to save the planet is Jean's message in Like a Tree and Urgent Message From Mother. We have the Women's Movement of the 1970s as the example of how women acting individually and in consciousness-raising groups changed our world. Jean invites us as individuals to carry the grail that can heal the wounded patriarchy and restore the wasteland into our world through our choices and commitments."
The first women's symposium in March, 2011, was a huge success. Our keynote speaker was Barbara Marx Hubbard, a visionary, social innovator, author, educator and leader in the new world view of conscious evolution. Barbara has worked closely with some of the great innovators of our time such as Dr. Jonas Salk, Abraham Maslow, and the great Buckminster Fuller who said of Barbara, "she is the best informed human now alive regarding futurism and the foresights it has produced."
